Mollie Anna King studied for her B.A at Crawford College of Art & Design before completing an M.F.A in Sculpture at the Slade School of Art. King has had solo shows in The Museum of Hidden History, South Tipperary Arts Centre, The National Sculpture Factory, CANAL Gallery and AMP Gallery, London. She has been a recipient of The Next Generation Artists Award, the Barto dos Santos Memorial Award, the Land Securities Award and Studio Residency in Bow Arts, London. In 2019 she was the Resident Artist at The Architectural Association School, Dorset and Limerick School of Art + Design’s Ceramic Department.
In 2018, she was an Artist in Residence at STAC. King has also created large-scale commissions (Saint Angelas College, Cork) and has worked collaboratively with Turner Prize winners Assemble Architects, The Domestic Godless during their ‘The Food, the Bad and the Ugly’ Tour as well as being a host for Callan Workhouse Union’s “Bring Your own Chair” Residency.
